Then YHWH said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from the sky for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not. 5 It shall come to pass on the sixth day, that they shall prepare that which they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.”
Speaker: YHWH | Bible Version: TCMV
It shall come to pass on the sixth day, that they shall prepare that which they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.
Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death;
For whoever does any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
This is a biblical example of the Sabbath Law being disobeyed.
While the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day. 33 Those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation. 34 They put him in custody, because it had not been declared what should be done to him.
35 YHWH said to Moses, “The man shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall stone him with stones outside of the camp.” 36 All the congregation brought him outside of the camp, and stoned him to death with stones, as YHWH commanded Moses.
For in six days YHWH made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore YHWH blessed the Sabbath day, and made it holy.
For it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am YHWH who sanctifies you.
This is a present day example of the Sabbath Law being followed.
A man gathering and preparing twice as much food on the sixth day, then resting on the seventh day with his household, animals and servants.
