• He who sacrifices to any god, except to YHWH only, shall be utterly destroyed.

Biblical Example

• This is a biblical example of the Foreign God Sacrifices Law being disobeyed.

In the time of his distress, he trespassed yet more against Yahweh, this same King Ahaz. 23 For he sacrificed to the gods of Damascus which had defeated him. He said, “Because the gods of the kings of Syria helped them, I will sacrifice to them, that they may help me.” But they were the ruin of him and of all Israel.

This biblical example is referring to King Ahaz's reign over Judah. King Ahaz became king of Judah at twenty years old. He reigned sixteen years and did evil in the eyes of YHWH.
