Scripture

Moses spoke to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons who were left, “Take the meal offering that remains of the offerings of YHWH made by fire, and eat it without yeast beside the altar; for it is most holy; 13 and you shall eat it in a holy place, because it is your portion, and your sons’ portion, of the offerings of YHWH made by fire; for so I am commanded.

Present Day Example

A priest offers a grain offering before YHWH, before the altar. The priest will take a handful of the fine flour of the grain offering, and of its oil, and all the frankincense which is on the grain offering and burn it on the altar for a pleasant aroma as its memorial portion to YHWH. That which is left, the priests will eat. The priests will eat it without yeast in a holy place. They will eat it in the court of the Tabernacle beside the altar. It will not be baked with yeast. All of the priests will eat of it as their portion forever throughout their generations.
